DOWNLOAD GUIDE What Deposit do you ask for? We ask for a deposit of 25% of the total package booked. This secures the date in our diary. When is the final payment Due? The balance is due no later than 1 month before the date of the wedding. This ensures that all formalities are settled before the big day and there are no delays to the delivery of your DVD/VHS copies. When will I get my copies? We aim to have your copies to you within 28 days of the wedding. During particularly busy periods such as June through to September this may increase to 70 days, but we will keep you informed as to our progress. You may be itching to see the final product, but we don't want to rush it and give you anything less than the best. While creative filming is essential to any wedding video, it is the editing process that really transforms your video into something special and unique. We will spend up to five full days on each edit, paying careful attention to every detail. You need to question any company who offers a very fast turn around of your video. How much are extra copies of my film? Our DVD copies are £20 each + p&p. These films are copyright by Just Imagine Video Productions Ltd and we ask that you contact us for any copies. We do not offer VHS copies. I want to have my preparations filmed but they are taking place a fair distance from the venue It is often not feasible to record the Bride's Preparations if they are taking place more than a few minutes drive from the venue. Getting back in time to capture guests, groom and bridesmaids arriving will often be impossible in cases where there is heavy traffic or long distances involved. If this is the case,you can have it filmed by someone else and edited by us (ask about our charges) Do you charge mileage? We are based in Guildford in Surrey. We do not charge mileage for the first 40 miles from our base. Thereafter the charge is at the AA recommended rate of 40p per mile. I may need you to come earlier or stay later than my package allows No two weddings are the same but the packages are designed to cover all of the formalities of the average wedding with our cheapest package offering up to 8 hours of coverage. However, if you still need additional hours we are happy to arrange this. The hourly charge which includes the additional editing is £75. There is a £150 charge for every hour past midnight or before 8am. Who does the filming and editing? Just Imagine Video Productions Ltd employs three camera operators. They are all trained in our specific style which translates in turn to our style of editing which ensures continuity throughout the process. With all our operators you are assured of the high standard in creativity that all our customers have come to expect from us as well as our sought after unobtrusive coverage throughout the day. Tell me more about how my film will be made We use Sony's PD-170 to film all our weddings. It is a small unobtrusive camera which boasts broadcast quality picture and sound. You will often see them being used in shows such as Wife Swap, wildlife programs, and Watchdog, as their size allows easy filming in close quarters. Once all the shots are safe on tape, we bring them back to the edit suite and start to build your DVD. We use Avid Xpress in the editing which is part of a family of editing packages that have brought even the biggest Hollywood blockbusters to the big screen. It is a powerful and professional system that is the trusted choice of millions of film makers around the world. With your choice of music we craft a personal, contemporary and utterly unique wedding film. Finally, your DVD is not produced on a production line, it is also custom made from beginning to end. The design of the DVD menu itself is inspired by the elements that made your day memorable. If you had a wild and wacky wedding you can expect your DVD to reflect this. We respect the fact that everyone is different and every wedding is unique. No two films or DVD designs are ever the same! Will you turn up? Of course we will! If in an extreme instance the cameraman is hospitalised we have a network of professional videographers that we can call on to step in at the last minute. You can still be assured of the quality you would expect from a Just Imagine Video. Can I choose my own music for the DVD? Absolutely. This is your film, we want it to be as personal as possible. We would normally ask you to provide a CD of 5-6 songs that mean something to the both of you. We will then use the music at certain points in the film. This can be discussed in more detail on booking. Music must be received on CD before the date of the wedding to avoid major delays to the editing of your wedding video.Please see the question and answer regaring copyright above. Can I sit in on the edit? Do you provide a preview? We would love to be able to offer a service whereby our clients sit in on the edit. Unfortunately this is impossible. We have a strict schedule throughout the year that ensures all our clients get their wedding films within the stated time and trying to arrange a suitable time for each client to sit in on the edit would not be feasible. Preview We cannot provide a preview of the film for the same reason as above. The time taken by sending previews off, clients watching it, changing something, sending it back, correcting the edit, creating another preview and having that approved is simply not viable. Having said all that, we have never had a client who has wanted a single frame of their wedding video changed once they see it! Do I need to seek permission from church/registry office to have a videographer present? It is advisable to let your minister or registrar know in advance that there will be a videographer present at the ceremony. It is your responsibility to make sure that we have permission to film. Please assure them that we do not need to move around during the ceremony but would appreciate a favourable static position near the Bride and Groom. On the day, we arrive in plenty of time to sort out any other details with the minister/registrar. Do you meet with us before the day? Due to the number of bookings we have every year it has become difficult to meet all our clients in person before the wedding day. There simply isn't enough time. You are welcome to come to us in Cranleigh for a face to face meeting, or we can have a detailed chat on the phone to confirm arrangements and to discuss the day and your package in detail.
